Fish Trap Lake Ride

Category: Chapter News, Newsletter

Hello everyone from the White Pine TrailRiders!

Our latest outing was May 18. Do you remember what you were doing 28 years ago? Many do that live in theNorthwest. This May 18th was sunny and very warm. Our ride took place at Fish Trap Lake. We had 9 riders in all. FishTrap Lake is rim rock country. It was easy terrain for the horses and riders alike. We saw several different wild flowers in bloom. Green grass and leaves on the trees. It was nice to see after such a long winter. We did see several deer, geese and one rattlesnake. I was happy not to be the one to see it. It was windy which helped keep the bugs down and the heat bearable. After so much cold weather it was a bit of a shock. I came back sporting a nice sunburn. We had lunch at Hog Falls. Some of us went searching for shade. We all arrived back at the trailers safe and sound. The ride was about eleven miles in all. I am looking forward to our nextride. Hope to see more people venture out in June.

Until next time,
Safe and Happy Trails,Norma Bishop
