I am sorry another year will have to go by before we can get together. I look forward for months in advance for the great event. I haven't met anyone I didn't like to talk with. Everyone is full of love and kindness. The week seems to fly by and I have to leave. Looking forward to next year. Harold Larkin (1st week camper)
This week Bruce and I have ridden about 80 miles and all of them with a group consisting of Steve, Leif, Tasha, Ray, Bruce, Harold Beebe and myself. We saw a lot of the area and even saw cat, bear and elk tracks. Riding with Harold has been an adventure and we have enjoyed every mile!!! Even our 12 mile detour. Thanks for the great week. God has been very present and showing us that He loves us. Bruce & Laura Boles
I've had lots of fun. It was really nice to have 4 other kids and tons of dogs!!! It was nice to have Tonto for my horse to ride. Bruce and I had lots of fun throwing things at each other---- like bear grass, sticks and pinecones, etc. I'm glad Harold and Gordon were willing to share their horses. The trails were neat and I loved the huckleberries. Even Harold's "shortcuts" were all right. Bruce nicknamed me "Queen Sheba" because I had a bandana over my head for the dust and "Sweet Monster", I don't know why. Thanks. Tosha
Perfect American Cruisin' Trails, safe with some sweet lunch spots and glimpses of heavenly vistas. SUE---Awesome food along with her trusty helper, Lisa. HAROLD—Wonderful glue for a great group of people. The band could have been improved-- just about brought in the truck and sound system. When you guys are asking me to sing, we are in TROUBLE. Thank you so much each and everyone for all. CANADA DEB Egolf
Thank you to the AHA and particularly to Harold, Sue, Lisa and Steve. This is my second ride with the group. What amazing people you all are. The trails have been wonderful and safe. What stands out or me is the sparkle in everyone's eye---from 6 yrs. Of age to 80ish. Each day has been an adventure. What is most surprising-- -I don't think about work or any other aspect of the life I live day to day (yes, I always miss my husband and son) but; .....what a great gift you have all given to me. Thank you. I look forward to next year. Susan VanDen Tillaart
Thank you to everyone for a wonderful week!! Steve--great help with directions and overnight accommodations on the way home (greatly appreciated). Harold—thanks for all of your great trail advice; such as how to pony kids, etc....... Sue and Lisa---amazing meals.. Bruce, Laura and Debbie --- loved getting to know you better (our CCM friends). Ray -- "Hide that candy!" This was a fun week for our family and a great place to put some great trail miles on these ponies. After seeing some BIG cougar tracks about 5 miles out (a long ways for our family), we became the "Von Trap Goodlin Singers" and sang every song we knew to let those big critters know we were coming and hopefully scare them off!! I think that it calmed us and our ponies down, too. Ha!!! Thank you, also, for letting our kids participate with the program, music, etc. Loved hearing them sing. Kathy Goodlin
Wonderful, peaceful, and thoughtful escape from all the daily hubbub of life. We enjoyed the fellowship and getting to meet some new people. Janice & Mic Hess (Moscow, Id.)
We had a wonderful time and the trails were wonderful. Lots of thanks to Sue and Harold for all their hard work. A lot of thanks go to Harold and Sue also for helping my Mom after Friday's small mishap when her horse spun on the trail and took off leaving Mom in the bushes and me on the trail. Harold was kind to drive us to Grangeville where Mom had to have stitches in her head, eyebrow and knee. Thanks to all the people in camp who took care of our horses. Despite this mishap, we enjoyed our time. Pam and Vicky
My family and I have had a blast--what fun and relaxation. It's so nice to have meals prepared! Great food. Nice to have a small group--- better to get to know people. Beautiful trails and scenery. Thanks for including us. I think we're going to plan for next yr, next, next..... Thank you. Sincerely, Greg Goodlin (P.S. Greg turned 47 during this vacation and he doesn't look it....)
Our group for the second week had 22 people, 5 being kids. They add a fun dimension to the week. Let me tell you; they all ate lots. I think they ate as much as the first group, at least the things I know about. Our group was close and very helpful. Thanks to Bruce, Steve and Greg in the kitchen. Others helped with other chores. Thanks to Lisa Baker, my neighbor, for coming along and being my assistant. Hey, I didn't break any bones this year!! Praise God! Thanks to John and Darla for staying over a couple days to get us settled in. The weather was great our week. We did get ash from the fires which were about 30 miles away I heard. Sue Beebe
